Description
This is a rare copy of KIRSTEN FLAGSTAD singing with the LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA conducted by OIVIN FJELDSTAD. This is a first label pressing identified by "ORIGINAL RECORDING BY" printed on the label at 10 o'clock; a wide silver band printed just above the centre hole and a circular groove in the vinyl approximately 1 cm in from the edge of the centre label.
The matrix numbers on the runouts are: ZAL 4383-1E & ZAL 4384-1E
The disc has a few very faint non-sounding scuffs and negligible spindle wear. I have machine-cleaned the disc and listened to extracts and it plays beautifully. The disc comes in a period Decca FFSS printed inner (poly-lined).
The flimsy jacket (flat spine) has only minor shelf/handling/ring wear. Graded VG+
The record will be shipped in a commercial Defenda LP mailer made of corrugated cardboard with extra stiffening or similar.
