                                           Pierre Monteux was associated with the Diaghilev company from 1911 to 1914 and 1917.
                                           During his years with the Ballet Russes he was responsable for the first performances of
                                           Debussy´s Jeux, Stravinsky´s Petrouchka, Fire-Bird, and the present work Daphnis et Chloé.
                                           Daphnis et Chloé introduced late in 1912, presented a French conductor conducting the first
                                           French music to be written for the Ballets Russes.

                                                       
                                                        

This Decca long playing record was recorded stereophonically under an exclusive process
and bears the trade mark on the front cover
It is an original mastered 180gr pressing and limited to a number of 2000 worldwide!!!
