*RARE* Rossini: Overtures - Peter Maag / PCO **Decca SXL 2182 WBg ED1 LP**. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail Signed For® 1st Class Letter.
PETER MAAG conducts the PARIS CONSERVATOIRE ORCHESTRA Rossini Overtures.
This is a lovely condition copy of the rare 1960 UK first issue 4-track STEREO vinyl LP
It has the deep groove wide band black & silver Decca label with "original recording by" perimeter text, and a front laminated picture sleeve.
The vinyl shows some signs of play, there are small spindle marks on both sides of the label, so the record has been played a few times. But it has been very well looked after all of these 60 years.
The sleeve has very little light creasing with just very light ring-wear on the unlaminated reverse, with no seam splits or tears which for this early flimsy sleeve is a fantastic achievement! A previous owner has written a cataloguing number in the top right of the back sleeve, this suggests a serious audiophile kept and treasured this rare recording!
A rare and highly regarded recording that sounds stunning, complimented by an evocative laminated sleeve design.
