Description
Brahms Symphony No.4 with Rafael Kubelik conducting The Vienna Philhamonic Orchestra Decca SXL 2206 first U.K. pressing (wide band grooved edition 1 with ''Original Recording By'' at 10:00p.m. on labels. Vinyl remains in very good+ condition, there are a few very light scratches as well as a few hairlines evident on the vinyl which still retains a nice sheen. The vinyl would surely benefit from professional cleaning but is still a very enjoyable audio experience playing back with some static crackle, some more evident ''pops'' and some slight ''clicking'' in places. The labels remain in nice condition with slight ''spider'' marks. The outer sleeve remains in very good condition with no rips or tears but does have serious laminate lifting evident as well as ring wear, two stains to the rear sleeved and some damage to the lower rear scallop edge (see photos). The record comes with a poly-lined inner but I am unsure whether this is original or not.
I have tried to list all faults with the record and sleeve as per the strict guidelines set out in The Record Collector Magazine grading system and this is still a very good copy of a rare record.
