Decca SXL 2265 WB Ed3 - Corelli, Pachelbel, Gluck, Ricciotti - SCO Munchinger

This is one of a number of vinyl records from the 1950’s & 60’s listed this week which we no longer listen to. Little played, the records are still in very good condition, the covers sometimes less so.

Gradings are based on the “Record Collector Magazine's Guide” set out in the eBay Guides together with notes about condition added. Extracts from the Gramophone Magazine review written at the time of the record’s release are included, with the permission of the publishers, where these are available.

RECORD GRADING

EXCELLENT

 

A clean, bright record with some surface marks, a few light hairlines and some sleeve rubbings but no damaging scratches. There are spindle marks on both labels. Both sides, however, play excellently with virtually no surface sound at all and just a very, very occasional light tick. A nice record with excellent sound.

COVER GRADING

EXCELLENT

 

There is absolutely nothing to fault this cover. Nothing.

 

The blue FFSS inner sleeve is also excellent; clean, undamaged with just the usual creasing toward the corners.
