Back in 1967, while his career was waiting to kick off, David Bowie would sometimes earn a few bob selling compositions to other artists. He also tried his hand at writing lyrics to go with other people's music - and here is a great example. These two songs, Love Is Always and Pancho, were recorded by Belgian singer Dee Dee and feature lyrics written for the project by David Bowie. The Belgian pressing of this record is hard to find. But this one, the German release on the Hit-Ton Schallplatten/Palette label, is even rarer! It boasts a completely different cover to the Belgian release. Bowie's writing credit appears on both labels. David never recorded his own versions of these songs, so this record is the only chance to hear this particular example of his quirky, mid-60s penmanship. Record and sleeve are in VG+ condition.
