This historic LP from Purple’s classic lineup at its creative peak is hardly ever offered for sale in this condition.

“What shines through on every track is the superb musicianship and virtuosity of five musicians who were masters of their individual craft and as a unit were a force to be reckoned with.”

This is the extremely rare real thing: a genuine Mint/VG condition UK first pressing. The record is in flawless Mint condition and the cover is in Very Good condition. All items are free from any major defects like scratches, tears, dog-ears, stickers, writing, stains or the like apart from some creasing in the top right rear corner of the sleeve that is hardly noticeable on the front. See pics. All items are the genuine originals bought together by me in 1975, not reprints or replacements. The LP is the original 1975 UK stereo LP, which was only played occasionally on top-end audiophile equipment and lovingly cared for.

“If there is one album that is a must for metal muthas it has to be 24 Carat Purple. The album portrays every stage of the bands evolution throughout the 70s.”

THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLES OF THIS ALBUM EVER OFFERED FOR SALE IN RECENT TIMES

24 Carat Purple is the first compilation album of the hard rock band Deep Purple on their own record company and second in a long line of compilation albums. Released in June 1975.
The album marked the debut of the live version of "Black Night", originally a B-side in Japan.
Albums the tracks were taken from:
A1 - Who Do We Think We Are (1973)
A2 - Fireball (1971)
A3, B2, B3 - Made In Japan (1972)
A4 - Machine Head (1972)
A5 - was recorded live in Japan (1973)
B1 - Deep Purple In Rock (1970)

This may be your only ONCE IN A LIFETIME chance to own this rare piece of rock history in this condition.

“Music does not come much better than this. This comes from a time when there were real musicians playing real music. Every single track is mighty. Deep Purple rocks!”

The first compilation conceived by Deep Purple as opposed to the band's record company, 24 Carat Purple appropriately stands proud, among what is now a landslide of collections and hits packages, as a flawless representation of the band's Mark II identity at its very best. The Made in Japan double live album consumes much of the single disc's body weight -- the epic renditions of "Smoke on the Water," "Child in Time," and "Strange Kind of Woman" are, after all, among Deep Purple's most resonant moments, while 24 Carat Purple also lures in collectors with a thunderous "Black Night," recorded at the same shows but omitted from the original album. With "Woman from Tokyo," "Fireball," and "Never Before" peeling off recent singles and "Speed King" excerpted from Deep Purple in Rock, 24 Carat Purple truly is a gold-plated depiction of the band at its all-time peak, before Ian Gillan and Roger Glover went their separate ways and an entire new journey kicked off with Burn.

A fantastic time warp example of this rarity in amazing condition, a true investment grade item - get it while you can!
