Deep Purple in Rock. 12 inch vinyl LP album. 1st UK pressing. SUPERB!


VINYL: EX+/M-.

In beautiful condition. Has been stored unplayed for decades. No marks or blemishes. Still retains its original sheen. Perfectly flat. Test play revealed no skips, sticks or clicks. Deep full clean sound. Clearly been played only a handful of times. Sound quality throughout is free from any traces of distortion.

 

1st pressing 1st variation matrix /runouts:

- Runout, stamped, side A. Var. 1: SHVL 777 A-2

- Runout, stamped, side B. Var. 1: SHVL 777 B-1

 

LABELS: M-

NO EMI logo on label. Perfectly clean with no writing or stickers. A couple of very light spindle marks – only visible if you look at the labels up to a very strong light. In normal light they look perfectly new.

There is a crease along the middle of the back cover, and as a result the lamination has lifted slightly (see photo) - there are no tears or breaks in the lamination though. Without this the cover would have easily been EX+/M-

Original EMI inner sleeve advertising other Harvest releases of the time. No tears or marks or browning.

 

Great album, one of the first copies of it ever produced, really hard to find in such fantastic condition, and extremely collectable!
