Description
A 1st pressing of Fireball on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'PEK'. Stampers 1-AD/2-OR. This is the very first iteration of this release with George Peckham's 'PEK' evident in the deadwax and 'Gramophone' still showing in the perimeter label text. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original textured gatefold sleeve. Also included is the original lyric sheet and the Harvest Inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly only seen the lightest use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Interference is practically non-existent. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments the whole way through. It really is that good and even FOOLS, the really fussy track, plays really clean - FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) In superb shape and very rarely do you see the Fireball cover looking this good. Back and front are very well preserved with just the very lightest creasing. The interior is in immaculate condition too. Edge wear is very light and the text on the spine is full legible. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity. This one's a keeper!
Lyric sheet (Ex) Great condition. One slight crease.
Inner (Ex+) Faultless. Barely any ageing at all. No splits.
