DESCRIPTION: Deep Purple LP- In Rock. 1ST UK pressing with NO EMI on labels, A2/B1 matrix and Gramophone text. Heavyweight vinyl weighing in at 140gm. In front and back laminated gatefold sleeve. With Original Harvest advertising inner. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Harvest SHVL 777 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1970 original. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER).EX+/VG+. Vinyl is very clean with a super sheen. Visually, in North East England August daylight this is almost certainly better than EX. Played passages of this today at a decent volume on my Pro-ject Deck. Sounds a very strong Excellent, clear , clean and loud with the cleanest playing "Child in Time" I have heard!! . Best playing copy of this I have had for years. Good enough for me to compare with my own copy - there was little in it sound wise , kept my original as the cover was a bit better. Cover is in nice shape. It is firm and square and has only light edgewear, cornerwear and creasing. Inside of gatefold very clean apart from a small area (about 1") of cellotape residue on top edge- tried to capture it oin photo 4 but wont show. Clean labels . No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Harvest inner is still clean and white though has had the poly detached. Light wear and NO SPLITS!!. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
