Description

An original 2nd pressing of 'IN ROCK' on the Harvest Label from mid-1971. Matrix A2/B1. Stampers 1-CHL/4-CTR. Please note the perimeter text states 'Gramophone' and there are EMI logos. So, whilst the matrix cut is identical to a 1st issue this pressing would have originated from roughly 12 months after 1st release. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Never have I seen an Lp in such pristine condition...unbelievable...
Vinyl (Ex+/NM) In perfect condition and clearly has been played - just take a look at those label shots! Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR MINT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is totally absent. Even the fussy track 'Child In Time' plays super clean. Good luck finding another copy anywhere near this good. FINAL UGRADE.
Cover (NM) I don't think I ever use a nearmint grading for covers - this is perhaps a first. Utterly perfect. Could quite frankly have come straight from the printers from 1971 in a time machine! Front and back shiny like new with no evidence of creasing or marks. The interior is immaculate - no signs of fading at all. Edge wear is totally non-existent and the openings are still nice and sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity.
