Description
On offer here is a copy of Live Encounters by Deep Purple, a triple live album pressed on Purple vinyl released in 2004 on the Metal Mind label, catalogue number MM LPBOX 0003.
On June 3rd 1996 Deep Purple played in Spodek, Katowice in Poland and the concert was recorded for release. After many years of negotiation and delay, this album was finally released in 2004. Copies of the CD and indeed on DVD are reasonably easy to find, but only 1500 hand numbered copies of the album were released on Purple Vinyl. This is number 652.
The lineup of the band at the time was Ian Paice, Roger Glover, Ian Gillan, Jon Lord and Steve Morse on Guitar.
All the classic tracks are here including Highway Star, Smoke On The Water, Black Night, Speed King and Fireball among others.
The album comes in a gatefold laminated sleeve with printed picture inners. The albums are pressed on Purple Vinyl and a booklet is included with great live shots of the band.
I bought this album when it came out, and have played it just once before storing it in a polythene cover in a smoke and pet free environment ever since.
The cover, inners, booklet and all the vinyl's are in as close to Mint condition as can be and are absolutely perfect, as you can see from the photo's.
