Description
You too can be a HIGHWAY STAR and go SPACE TRUCKIN round the stars with this penultimate 70's classic, Deep Purple's "Machine Head" in quadraphonic (if you're not too LAZY).
Rare Australian SQ Quadraphonic release. Very Good condition all around, LP and gatefold jacket. No seam splits on the jacket, almost perfect spine, minor wear. Comes with original tri-fold lyric sheet/poster.
This LP plays excellent throughout. This is an extremely clean sounding album with virtually no background noise and great quadraphonic sound. The channel separation on this LP is very good for a non-CD4 Quadraphonic recording. The bass frequency output is superb. Side 1 plays superior with no discernable pops or clicks, quiet between tracks. Side 2 has a few barely audible pops/clicks in a couple of the quieter passages of LAZY (there's only a couple of quieter spots in the song) otherwise it sounds excellent. Smoke on the Water plays very clean throughout the whole track. Space Truckin sounds/plays equally as good.
You will not be disappointed with the listening quality of this album, it would be hard to find a better one.
