DESCRIPTION: Deep Purple LP- Machine Head. UK pressing with gatefold sleeve laminated front and back, insert and A1U/B3 matrix. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Purple TPSA 7504 YEAR OF RELEASE: Originally in 1972 this will be very late 70s, maybe 1980. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX+/VG+. Vinyl is nice and very clean with a dark sheen. Played lengthy passages of this today on my Pro-ject Deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent+, even has a very clear intro to "Lazy". Cover is firm and square and has minimal edgewear, cornerwear and light creasing. Have had to grade VG+ as laminate has shrunk over time and a thin line of print had stuck to PVC sleeve, mainly inside of gatefold- check out photo 6. This would be an EX+ sleeve without this fault. Inside of gatefold is otherwise very, very clean with sharp, clean photos. Insert is EX but has remnants of blu-tac on back corners so must have been affixed to a wall at some point. Its still very nicely and neatly folded. Very clean labels, mnaybe a tinge of foxing if held to the light at an angle.No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Nice clean complete UK pressing that plays great. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. . Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES (INCLUDING SIGNIFICANT INNERS) PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
