DEEP PURPLE - 'MADE IN JAPAN'
Due to EMI's factory refit in 1972/3, many titles were 'contract pressed' by sister company Pathé Marconi in France. They were then re-imported back to the UK and retailed as normal.
This double album is one such pressing and is on the Deep Purple label: TPS 3511
Matrix numbers: M6 269845/6 & M6 269847/8
Stamper codes: 2/MH & 3/OA
Vinyl weights: 129g & 137g
Housed in an outer-laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' UK printed gatefold cover, with original white inner-sleeves.
CONDITION
Discs: NEAR MINT
Both appear to have been played only once or twice at most. Apart from some clouding on side 1 & 4 (which does not affect the sound quality) both discs are visually & audibly 'as new'.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A 1st-class example with a pristine outer laminate where the only trace of wear is an unavoidable light disc impression. Inside the gatefold there is minor damage from the glue sticking one side to the other along the lower edge, but otherwise, like the discs, this is 'as new'.
