An original and genuine 1st press from '69. And - quite a hard find at 1st press. Even harder to find a great player! GREY vinyl. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue cover. Matrix A1/B1. Stampers 1O-1P. This infers we are dealing one of the very 1st copies to enter the market place. Labels are "No EMI" - as you would expect on a true 1st. Super early! Laminated outer gatefold cover. We have an original patents applied for white company inner.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple lightest marks - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A clean player throughout - no background...total clean feed so you can really hear Richie's distortion in the guitar...superb. And Lord's tinkering...! Even Lalena plays clean with just a couple of crackles in a couple of spots - hardly anything. I bet many copies will not manage that. All I could detect was a couple of minor ticks in one spot per side. That is ALL.... And hardly any background at all. A truly well preserved original hard to find 1st press.
Cover (Ex-) No signs of ageing. Very nice clean shiny front and rear with just a couple of minor surface level creases. Very little edge wear and sharp openings. The spine looks fab too with little wear. Text fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Some ageing. No splits.
