Deep Purple - Splat 2xLP 180g 12" Purple Vinyl Limited Edition - New & Sealed

About this item

Deep Purple – Splat! sees one of rock music’s most enduring bands continuing their creative journey with a powerful and notably heavy studio album. Working once again with acclaimed producer Bob Ezrin, the band delivers a collection that draws on their classic hard rock identity without simply relying on nostalgia. Recorded with the musicians playing together in the studio, Splat! captures a direct, energetic sound and reflects Ian Gillan’s description of the current lineup as a modern version of the Deep Purple spirit of the 1970s. The album also explores a conceptual idea developed by Gillan, considering the end of humanity, or perhaps Deep Purple itself, as a form of transformation beyond physical existence. This limited edition is presented as a 2LP set on purple 180g vinyl, mastered at 45 RPM and housed in a gatefold sleeve with a 12 page booklet. Issued by Ear Music and Edel under catalogue number 0221507EMU, this striking pressing is an excellent addition for Deep Purple fans and collectors of classic hard rock and contemporary vinyl releases.
