Stormbringer: Rare 1974 UK first pressing LP of the ninth studio album from the pioneering rock band Deep Purple featuring Stormbringer, Lady Double Dealer and Soldier of Fortune. With A-1U/B-1U stampers and immaculate picture sleeve complete with original inner. Both the sleeve and disc are in beautiful condition.
The disc has First Press matrix numbers in the run-out grooves and is in MINT condition. Hard enough to find in reasonable condition, this copy is in MINT CONDITION and the Garrod & Lofthouse picture sleeve (dated 7411) is also in MINT CONDITION. And as these UK 1st pressings come up so infrequently in this condition this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to add this extreme rarity to your collection at an extremely advantageous price.

This rare MINT FIRST PRESSING last LP from the band’s Mark III line-up is hardly ever offered for sale in this condition.
This is the very rare real thing: a GENUINE first UK issue in MINT CONDITION. The sleeve is also in MINT CONDITION, with no creases, scratches, tears, writing, stickers, dog-ears or other damage. See pics. All items are the genuine originals bought together by me in 1974. The LP is the original first issue stereo LP, which was only played a few times on top-end audiophile equipment and lovingly cared for.

Stormbringer is the ninth studio album by Deep Purple, released in December 1974. On this album, the soul and funk elements that were only hinted at on Burn are much more prominent.
When Ritchie Blackmore's (admittedly odd) request to cover an old Quatermass track "Black Sheep of the Family" fell on stony ground he ended up taking a relative back seat in the studio. Stormbringer took shape blending rock, soul and funk in a way that was quite ahead of its time. It was released in double quick time in December 1974. Blackmore then followed his own muse by recording the Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow solo album in early 1975, backed by members of Deep Purple's regular support act Elf.
Ritchie Blackmore would leave after the making of and touring this album, returning later during the recording of the Perfect Strangers album.
This may be your only ONCE IN A LIFETIME chance to own this piece of rock history in MINT condition, which is considered one of the landmark albums in the history of Deep Purple.
Just like with Burn, most songs on Stormbringer are sung by both singers, Coverdale and Hughes, except "Holy Man" sung only by Hughes and "Soldier Of Fortune" sung only by Coverdale.
Some of the songs from the album were performed live in 1974-1976 but none of them after the band's reunion in 1984, although Whitesnake (Coverdale-fronted band) and Glenn Hughes still include some of those tracks in their live set lists. "Soldier Of Fortune", although not performed by the band for almost 35 years, is one of the most popular Deep Purple songs among fans and has been performed live by Whitesnake, Jon Lord and Blackmore's Night.
