Description
I have been collecting records for decades and the time has come for some of them to find a new home. Most will be in excellent condition, some have been in my family for years and remain unplayed. I will grade them all fairly and listen to most before listing.
All of them will be professionally cleaned before being sent.

Up for auction here is a Rare early Uk pressing of the Deep Purple Lp The Book of Tallesyn. This was released in the Uk on the Harvest label in 1968 Catalogue number SHVL 751.
This is a superb copy on the unboxed label. It has the matrix numbers SHVL 751 A-1-G on side 1 with stampers 2GD.
On side 2 it is SHVL 751 B-1-G with a 1 stamper ( can’t see any others)
This has been in my family since release and is barely played. The vinyl is visually in Excellent + condition and looks in brilliant condition.
I have listened to the vinyl at high volume and it plays through really well. There are no skips or jumps, just some occasional light background crackle. This does not distract and I will grade the audio as excellent.
The labels are also in excellent+ condition.
The original E.J.Day gatefold is also in excellent condition.
Overall a really great copy of this classic.
All of my records will be sent well packed so they arrive as intended. Depending on the value they will be sent insured and tracked delivery.
I use Record Collector ratings to grade my vinyl. These are :
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
