Beautiful 1st UK press gatefold copy of Deep Purple's 'The Book of Taliesyn' on the Harvest label.

Gatefold sleeve is fully intact, in fantastic shape and still glossy. Laminate is fully intact, no rips, tears, holes, no writing etc
Spine is fully intact but does have some very minor bends and shelf-and-edge wear, though nothing out-of-the-ordinary.
Vinyl is near mint, still glossy, with no marks or smudges.
Playback is exemplary, no hisses, no pops, no interruptions, no jumps etc, this record is in fantastic shape and has hardly been played by previous owner(s).

Featuring the MK1 line-up of Rod Evans (vocals), Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), Jon Lord (keyboards), Nick Simper (bass) and Ian Paice (drums, percussion), 'The Book of Taliesyn' was Deep Purple's 2nd album, and showcases the group's early, psychedelic rock style.
After recording third album 'Deep Purple', Evans and Simper would leave the group and form Warhorse, and be replaced by vocalist Ian Gillan and bassist Roger Glover, thus giving birth to the legendary MK2 line-up. Both Gillan and Glover had been in the short-lived outfit Episode Six, and their introduction helped pave the way to fame and fortune for the British five-piece, as they eschewed the flowery psychedelia of the first three albums in favour of their now legendary hard-rock sound.
Arguably the best of the MK1 albums, 'The Book of Taliesyn' proved popular in the United States, but less so in the group's homeland, with British audiences only really embracing the group once Gillan and Glover had come on board. Nevertheless, 'The Book of Taliesyn' is still a fine album, featuring wonderful guitar-organ interplay between key members Blackmore and Lord, and a fabulous rock version of the soul classic 'River Deep, Mountain High'.
