Description
Deep Purple, Space Volume 2, recorded in 1970, unofficial release.
If you are a Deep Purple fan you won't need telling that this is one of the earliest live recordings. From a gig in Acchen Germany in 1970. This classic recording effectively has 3 tracks -
Side one - Wring That Neck
Side two - Black Knight Paint it black
As a bootleg, for that is what this is, the sound quality is overall quite excellent. Volume levels vary occasionally but this has obviously come from the soundboard, there is NO obtrusive audience noise.
Condition wise, I am very conservative in my ratings but I would say this is again very good. There is the occasional click but overall it plays with no hiss, no background noise, no jumps, nothing to spoil the overall experience. Side 2 plays particularly well. Visually nothing untoward to report.
The cover is like many "unofficial" releases functional at best. It has stood the test of time well and is pretty much undamaged. Check out the pics. The inner label is blank.
