Description
Koi No Yokan is one of those Deftones records that somehow manages to be crushing and beautiful at the same time.
The riffs are huge, the atmosphere is dense and dreamlike, and Chino’s vocals float over everything in that way only Deftones can pull off. Swerve City, Leathers, Tempest, Entombed, Rosemary — this album just gets better the deeper you get into it.
This 2012 European 180g pressing is especially nice because it was cut by Heino Leja and pressed at Optimal Media in Germany, a plant with a strong reputation for clean, high-quality vinyl production. Collectors often praise this pressing for its excellent sound, with the weight and space of the record coming through beautifully on vinyl.
It’s housed in a gatefold jacket and includes the lyric insert, making it a really complete, substantial edition of one of the strongest albums in the Deftones catalog.
If you want Koi No Yokan on vinyl and actually care how it sounds, this is a damn good copy to own.
