After longer time, here we present you the vinyl edition of the album "Sangue Morto", original released on cassette and CD back for years... Limited to only 100 (!!!) LP's.
DEFUNTOS are, since their beginning, an unique band with an unique sound. Deep rooted in the past, DEFUNTOS music is connected to the the old Portugal, to the old beliefs, to the old funerary traditions, to family tragedies, to permanent grief in result of a tight relation with death and the dead. This morbid, bass-driven, blend of black metal and doom, narrating the misfortune of real occurrences, has been the musical substance of the band since 2006 and turned DEFUNTOS in one of my favorite Portuguese artists. Consequently, i'm proud to realize this old project of mine, and present these two albums for the first time of vinyl. "Sangue Morto" was released in cd by True Face of Evil (Ger) in 2007, and songs like "O Nosso Funeral..." and "O Enterro do Morto"still remain, in my opinion, as some of DEFUNTOS finest material. "A Negra Vastidão das Nossas Almas" (already released by Bubonic, as a limited cassette edition of 33 copies), was the natural continuation of "Sangue Morto" keeping the same morbid essence and cryptic sound, as some new song ideas and structures were used. Both Lps are limited to 100 copies and dedicated to their owners. Some new and never released DEFUNTOS photographs were used in these artworks, making these editions essencial items to those who follow the band. /Daniel M. (Bubonic Doom)
