Description
Demilich - 20th Adversary Of Emptiness 3x LP box set on "Transparent Blood Red" vinyl, limited to 150 copies (this one hand marked #131).
From Svart Records, 2014. Catalog #: SVR257
PLEASE NOTE: Item is clearly "open box" new. In the early 2000's Antti Boman of Demilich made a webpage with a form to sign up for a mailing list to see if there was any interest in new Demilich merchandise, specifically t-shirts. I signed up and ordered one of the shirts (feel free to message me if you happen to be interested in this, it has ~10 years of wear though!) and wound up on this original mailing list, with a new music release being mentioned periodically.
Around 10 years later in 2013 Antti emailed those of us on that list about the upcoming 20th Adversary Of Emptiness release to give us an opportunity to pre-order the limited edition of the vinyl with a personalized code. Each single order of the boxed vinyl copies were supposed to come with some unique, original memorabilia from the band's early days (there were specific instructions that if more than one LP box was ordered the "extra" stuff would only be included with one box, and if the codes were abused the orders for that code would be discarded, so I'm unsure how many orders actually wound up including the signed/numbered/extra stuff, and how many of those were the 150 blood red vinyl).
These "extra" items were described somewhat mysteriously in the original emails, and confused about this a couple years after owning this sealed box set I opened it to confirm the contents. However, I did not handle the items inside beyond taking them out of the box and putting them back in once; records were never handled, book not flipped through, poster unopened, etc. Turns out, the "extra" item was only the unique photocopy of the original Demilich promo material signed by the three members of the band (see 11th photo), which was included in the package *outside* the sealed box! No complaints from me, but I wanted to be sure before I gave it to anyone else (also, I had ordered the CD and got sufficient enjoyment from that copy :) ).
I put the signed photocopy in the box and closed the shrink wrap with scotch tape (no adhesive touching the box) and only opened it a second time to show the contents for this listing. See 2nd and 3rd photos for how it was kept for the past few years.
Box includes:
- Nespithe and Em9t2ness of Van2s1ing/V34ish6ng 0f Emptiness on 3x Transparent Blood Red vinyl with record sleeves for each - 44 page zine - Sticker - Poster - Photocopy of original, unique promo material signed by Aki Hytönen, Mikko Virnes and Antti Boman
There is wear to the shrink wrap, as stated box and items inside only handled twice to confirm contents. Unfortunately, signed photocopy endured some light wear before being placed in the box. See pictures.
