Description
Please read this carefully. This is a extremely rare Demo first pressing direct from Cue Recordings. Of a Demo for The Hugh Martin Marshal Barer Musical Little Night Music. Not to be confused with Sondheims A Little Night Music. It was also known as The Happy Lot and Here Come the Dreamers It was to have starred Jeanette McDonald. And oddly parallels another Sondheim Musical Evening Primrose the story is about Old Movie Stars who live unknown to anyone in an old movie studio and only come out at night. As to the Record itself it is an acetate so there are issues with sound quality to begin with. It has surface scuffs and one major flaw that I tried to capture in the photo. It plays perfectly with no skips, the first side has a lot of surface noise at the start. Like 78's its hard to grade the disc because the nature of the surface doesn't scratch as much as skuff. Be aware that this will not sound like a regular LP But I assume if you are bidding on this you are a collector and are aware of what an Acetate Demo is. There were very few of these pressed. Hugh Martin Plays the Piano, Marshal Barer and a Young John Davidson are among the singers.
