Description
This is a Denyse Plummer & Boogsie Sharpe - Pan Rising/One Love 12" put out by Phase II Pan Groove Records of Trinidad in 1986,8645.I am not a fan of the goldmine record grading scale many use.I use a 10 scale. On a 10 scale the vinyl is a 9.0.It has minor noise at run in and 1 or 2 clicks overall.I am not downgrading it for minor noise at run in.Minor noise means maybe a quick light scuff sound that you will find on even new records. No noise in theory means it sounds as clean as a CD at run in and that is way rare if at all.If I were to say no noise at run in it would mean it sounds as clean as a vinyl record can sound, but you would know a CD is more clean just by the nature of being digital.Enough of that. The jacket is an 8.75.It has minor edge, way minor ring wear and no spine wear. Denyse Plummer was a blue eyed singer that worked the lounges. She ventured into Calypso and got a harsh reaction from the traditionalists for being a blue eyed singer singing Calypso. In 86,much respected Steel player Boogsie Sharpe asked her to sing on this particular record. It helped ease the tension and eventually she became a Calypso champion.I'm thinking this is her first record. The great songs are: Pan Rising and One Love.................. .. ................ ....... .. .. I will combine shipping and ship as cheap as possible by weight.Payment via Paypal or Cashiers Check. If you buy more than one item from me I will ship everything together and base shipping charges on the weight of the total package. I will ship all over the world. Let's expand on that since ebay wants a disclaimer now on shipping out of the USA. You need to know the customs rules of your own country. You have to pay the fees, tariffs, etc if there are any when the item gets to your country. Customs forms have to be accurate as well. I will send stuff First Class at your risk, your decision. First Class is untracked and uninsured.Well,it is somewhat trackable as to where/when it leaves the USA,but things can get sketchy when trying to use tracking number in your home country. That means if the package is lost, due to there being no/minimal tracking,it is more or less impossible to find. Even more important is that there is no insurance on it,so if it is lost your refund money is lost. No refund on lost First Class packages. Think hard about shipping Priority. It is more expensive (way more in some cases),but tracked and insured. So,even if the package was lost you get your money back. You have to decide if the risk of First Class is worth the money you save on shipping. That is up to you. Media Mail in the US is $2.53US Priority is $5.80US. Canada First class is $10.55US Priority is $28.25US. UK/Europe/South America First Class is $16.75US Priority is $42.00US. Japan/Pacific Rim First Class is $16.75US Priority is $42.50US. Australia First Class is $16.75US Priority is $39.95US.Other countries of similar location will have similar shipping prices. Priority is best, tracked and insured. I repeat,First Class is at you own risk. It is untracked(minimally tracked),so if the package is lost your refund money is lost.Having said that First Class has been doing sorta OK of late. There are horror stories of lost records though. You don't want that to happen to you.Thanks.
