Hello, Thank you for checking out my auction listing. Due to eBay's exorbitant seller fees, I will not be listing this item again after this auction ends. So bid like you mean it!
Up for auction I have a Depeche Mode "Rock In Athens '85" a deep, rich purple colored vinyl record - it's hard to tell from the photos....it looks dark blue, but it's purple. The record is limited edition number 30 out of 100. This is a great chance to own a low numbered copy of this rare, colored vinyl.
I bought this record a couple of years ago from a gentleman in Athens, Greece...and yes, I seriously bought this from a guy in Athens, Greece. I'm not making that up, that's one of the reasons I bought it! Since I purchased it, it has been stored on a record shelf in a resealable protective sleeve. I swapped out the inner sleeve for a high quality "MoFi" archival quality - anti static - non scratching - inner sleeve to help keep the record even more protected. I love my Depeche collection and have tried to take as good of care of it as I can! The original paper inner sleeve that originally came with the record is still included, naturally.
The album sleeve is in near-mint to almost perfect mint condition. I wouldn't grade it mint because it is not still sealed. The record probably use a cleaning. There appears to be a tiny scuff on the track "Shake The Disease".
The record will be shipped in a proper, sturdy cardboard record mailer and in way so that the sleeve and record will arrive in same condition they left my house in.
I am a Depeche Mode collector and I'm assuming if you are looking at this auction, you are too. I'm not out to gouge anybody with some ridiculous price tag. My prices are set considering what I paid for the item then, what it's worth now and the condition it is in, as well. If you have ANY questions concerning condition of this item or the reserve amount, need any other additional info or pictures, let me know! I am selling my items 'as is'. I've tried to include plenty of pictures and description for each item. Again, if you have any questions, please let me know before you buy!
