Depeche Mode - Violator - picture disc - Mexico
Disc is not warped, and is still playable. I do not grade picture discs for sound (visual grading only.)
When examined under bright light, the side of the record which has the rose has fairly noticeable scuffing and scratches. This (scuffing, scratches, marks) is less noticeable on the side of the record with the four faces. The side with the rose has two visible indentations (small holes - please see photograph) which do affect playback. The very edge of the record is also chipped (please see photograph) and this, too, is clearly visible. Given such flaws, the side with the rose can only be graded as "Fair" at best. The side with the four faces also has a flaw (a tear and slight staining near the centre hole - please see photograph). This keeps this side from being graded as "Very Good". I can therefore only grade it as "Good".
As detailed above, the record has some noticeable flaws. However, despite such flaws, it still makes for a striking display item as can be seen from the photographs included with the listing. Of all the Depeche Mode picture discs out there, this one remains my favourite. Rare and collectible. Please do not bid if it a pristine and perfect copy of this item you are looking for.
