For your consideration is this magnificent, 22 LP set of Richard Wagners epic opera 'Der Ring des Nibelung'
(The Ring of Nibelung)

The opera is presented in four parts or cycles and each of those cycles is presented here in its own individual folder. In addition to the LPs, each cycle also comes with a 12" x 12" booklet giving a mass of information about the arrangements, photographs and biographies of the performers and principle musicians plus the full text of the opera in both the original German and an English translation.
There is also a 3 x LP set with booklet by Deryck Cooke, that provides the listener with a highly detailed tutorial of the whole Ring Cycle. The booklet gives notes on understanding the original music score and gives learned insights into Wagners own vision and interpretation of his epic opera.
The vinyl is in truly excellent condition and has been played no more that twice since it was new in 1968 and then only on high grade Thorens equipment. The 3 x LP tutorial set has never been played.
The box is an extremely attractive, heavy wooden surround with slots for the individual envelopes that hold the vinyl and a stunning embossed frontice that can be seen in the photographs.
Decca took 10 years to complete this project and when it was eventually released in 1968, it boasted contributions from many of the worlds finest operatic artists including:-
