Description

An original 1st issue of Layla on UK Polydor from the charting period. Matrix A1/B2 x2 - the 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in the original matt gatefold cover. Super specimen. Two original inners. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. Beautiful lustre. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. This allows you to sit back and marvel at this classic 70's title. Minimal signs of background. There are some incredibly lowkey slow roll-ins on these tracks. Like on Thorn Tree and I think most copies will slip up even after light to moderate use. You can hear well down into the mix. When you get to those super fussy tracks like I'm Yours'.....it plays great with only the occasional minor static crackle [better than you typically find]. Little sign of background generally. A few crackles as 'Whos Foolin' Who' comes in, but it goes clean quickly. A cracking little original copy which deserves to be heard.
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and has survived the years in much better condition than many examples. Very slight sticker removal extreme top right on front.  Clean rear - with slightest handling. Opening panel nice and rigid thanks to heavy grade card. Sharp openings. Some light edge wear in a couple of spots and the spine 90% intact. Interior spot on. Extremely tidy example.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Really tidy. Ageing creeping in at extremities...
