Description

An original 1st press of Layla on UK Polydo.  Matrix A1/B2 x2 - the 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in the original matt gatefold cover WITHOUT Hype sticker bottom right corner. The record labels are NOT ridged at the edge. The flat label copies are earliest and are pressed HEAVIER!! Day 1 copies mention...Peter Maurice publishing on side 3....see 1st pic!

Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light careful use. Good lustre. Take a look at those label shots. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an at least EXCELLENT level of.. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A great copy by any measure - the delivery is clean. This allows you to sit back and marvel at this classic 70's title. There are some incredibly lowkey slow roll-ins on these tracks. Like on Thorn Tree and I think most copies will slip up even after light to moderate use. You can hear well down into the mix. When you get to those super fussy tracks like I'm Yours'.....it plays great.. These super fussy tracks are playing really well for the vintage. 
Cover (Ex) In great condition and has survived the years in much better condition than many examples. Clean rear. Opening panel nice and rigid thanks to heavy grade card. Sharp openings. Some slight edge wear and the spine 90% intact. Interior spot on. Very tidy example.
