Description
desi arnaz "rhumba(sic) matumba" "after tonight" 1946 universal pictures co., inc. 78rpm acetate. taken from cuban pete film, tgese two tracks were burned to this plastic 4/24(/46) as written on label, not sure if date is pressing or recording date. both sides feature rare universal pictures in house labels, both have light but acceptable condition issues. double a side has "rhumba matumba" and "after tonight" with 4/24 handwritten on both sides, also inside and 33 both scratched out as starting points. label also indicates that you should "use presto red-shank needles with 3 ounce pressure on needle point."
both tracks sound recorded live, possibly right to this platter. rumba matumba plays through and is noisy but enjoyable, after tonight is a difficult listen with audio drops and skipping. neither track is reference quality, rumba being the best sounding as well as a great full steam performance with heavy up front percussion and great desi vocal. items sold as is in found condition as described and pictured. vintage items sold for historical purpose only, vintage items may have very minor wear from age not detailed in description, see pics and description for specifics. please contact with any questions before bidding. thank you,
