Description
DEUCE – I'm Saved c/w Bad Boys 7” single (Manta Records) 1981. Yes, this is the rare elusive single that has adorned the want lists of most metal collectors. However, before you get excited, I must mention that this record is TRASHED! It is covered with scuff marks and full of scratches. I'd be afraid to put it on a turntable with a good needle. This is for the completest only, something to have until you ever find a better copy. It does not have a picture sleeve (it was released in only a white sleeve – which is missing here). The only reason I'm even putting this up here is because of the scarcity of this and someone may want it until a better one is found. For those unfamiliar, Deuce is the band that spawned guitar virtuoso Marty Friedman (though Marty left the band shortly before they recorded this single). This single features Timmy Meadows on lead guitar (brother of former Angel guitarist Punky Meadows). Deuce recorded a hand full of demos prior to signing with Torrid Records, changing their name to Tension and releasing their debut LP “Breaking Point in 1986. Guitarist vocalist Tom Gattis later went on to record with Wardog and Ballistic.
