Description
Original 1982 U.S. test pressing of Dexys Midnight Runners’ Too-Rye-Ay, released commercially by Mercury Records as SRM-1-4069. The album includes “Come On Eileen,” “The Celtic Soul Brothers,” “Jackie Wilson Said,” and others. Too-Rye-Ay was the band’s second album and became their breakthrough release.
Pressed by Hauppauge Record Manufacturing Ltd. (H.R.M.) with yellow H.R.M. “Test Pressing” labels. One side is handwritten “Dexy’s.” Includes the original MGM Records/Mercury mastering instruction sheet dated 10/8/82, listing the complete track sequence and production credits, along with handwritten correction notes including a change to the song title on Side 2, Song 3 and correction of Kevin Rowland’s name.
Record shows light surface wear and handling marks as pictured. Plain sleeve and accompanying mastering sheet show age, handling wear and discoloration. Untested.
