This album comes from an estate so no history is available.  The usage of this album by the owner is unknown, but the album appears to be in like-new condition.  Also, in the 45 years that I knew the owner, he was always very fastidious and particular regarding the care and maintenance of his possessions, including his vinyl record albums.

The back of the album was signed by the artist and reads as follows: “To Mary B. and Jack, Thank You, Your Friend, Dick Contino”

A great variety of musical fare, reflecting the many moods of Italy, is offered here by Dick Contino, with the aid of some members of his family.  Dick plays instrumentals which display his fabulous accordion mastery, sings in Italian and English, and joins his dad, Pietro Contino, in a rollicking bi-lingual duet of “Oh! Ma-Ma”.  Lovely Leigh Snowden (Mrs. Contino in private life) signs the popular ballad, “Se Piangi, Se Ridi”.  Sons and daughters of Italy are not the only ones who will enjoy this delightful album—there’s something here for everyone, including armchair travelers.
