Description

VERY RARE South African freakbeat on the Parlophone label. As featured in Le Beat Bespoke 5. A flop from one of South African's 60s pop stars, the original rarely comes up in any condition, let alone a nice copy like this. The A-side Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme is an excellent slice of pop-psych - think Strawberry Alarm Clock on a gentle day - but the B-side is where the action is, with a fierce vocal over rolling drums and wah-wah guitar breaks.
Both sides are VG+, with faint noise - I believe much of this is from pressing quality, as African presses of this vintage wouldn't have been for audiophiles, and the record itself doesn't look like it's had more than a couple of plays. You're not likely to find a better one any time soon. There's a click for 2-3 revolutions at the end of the A-side.
