Description
Soft mood music Latin American style with violin orchestra with percussion and flute etc. 12 tracks including: Siboney, Las Perias de Tu Boca, El Amor de Mi Bohio, Quiereme Mucho, La Enganadora, Las Comparsa, Siempre en Mi Corazon, Tres Palabras, Son de La Loma, Tu Felicidad, Zapateo, and La Bella Cubana.
Touzet, a great composer and pianist, will always be best known for a Louie Louie (aka El Loco del chachacha). Not the first, or last, chachacha or son to be played as a rock song.
When I arrived in the US, nearly 40 years ago, there was a tune the local Cuban TV station, Canal 23, played during its intermissions. Although I know hundred, maybe thousands, of Cuban songs that one eluded me. It was wonderful to find it on this disc. The tune is 'Siempre en mi Corazon.' What a fitting title, in so many ways.
