This handsome and rare LP – a still-sealed copy – from Deutsche Grammophon (2530 026, German pressing, white circle label, stereo, promo copy) features the great Italian pianist Dino Ciani's unsurpassed accounts of Carl Maria von Weber's Piano Sonatas No. 2 in A-flat Major Op. 39 and No. 3 in D minor Op. 49, both recorded in the warm acoustics of the Herkulessaal, Munich in March 1970.
The head of production for this album was Karl Faust, the artistic supervisor Werner Mayer, and the recording engineer Heinz Wildhagen.
The reverse side of the jacket carries insightful liner notes by Helmut Wirth, provided in German, English, and French. The memorable cover photo of Ciani was taken by Siess, Munich.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is near-MINT. Really, there are no flaws to speak of and the jacket appears as new – overall, an outstanding collector's copy.
The condition of the LP is MINT. This is a still-sealed, unplayed copy – the ideal collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
