Description
For sale is a rare Radio Promo 12" for Dinosaur Jr's "Just Like Heaven"- a cover of the great Cure song. This promo was sent out to select radio stations in major markets after the feedback stations gave SST was that although they loved the track, it was nearly impossible for stations to play it, due to the abrupt ending of the song. So the solution SST came up with, was to send out a super ltd one-sided 12" to stations with an additional audience cheering sound at the end. The cover was hand spray painted by the folks at the label.
Also included with this are 2 magazine press copies and 2 letters from SST that were sent with the record. This specific record came from an influential radio DJ's collection.
Condition:
NM where the grooves are. The non playing side and the rest of the A side without grooves have light scratches as is almost always the case with non groove sections. Back of the LP has some blue paint from the front spray paint. This was a band/label DIY job..so kind of expected. Adds to the uniqueness.
