Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting LPs in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. A little piece of history, the first album by Dion and The Belmonts. Nasty damage to cover, record plays well.

Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.

Cover - is as per my photos. I don't have the missing bits! Background of the front is in gold metallic ink.

Record - has damage, but isn't scratched all-over. Side one has a set of five heavy scuffs right across playing surface, and a lot of other scratches and marks. Side two has a heavy scuff track one into track two, and there is scoring along grooves on track six. Also a few light scratches and a couple of specks / spots of whatever, which I have mostly managed to clean-off. Surface is generally shiny and looks good, labels very nice. When I first got this, it needed a thorough clean. After I did that, I was pleasantly surprised when I listened to it - it plays very well. Doesn't skip or stop, and doesn't have loud individual crackles or pops - indeed, no background crackling that I noticed, except towards end of side 2. Voices and instruments sound as they should, it's not worn-out. An enjoyable record to listen to!

Price for a top copy of this is anything from £150 to £300. State of the cover restricts the value of this copy, but they don't go for less than £20. If you're one of those strange people (like me) who buys records in order to listen to them, this is a good deal.

I have been collecting records for 50 years (when finances allowed!), and now it's time to sell-up. I bought them mostly around local shops (second-hand), but sometimes from e-bay, and sometimes new, for my favourite bands. Note that I'm in UK, so records are UK issue, unless I say different.

When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.

Postage at cost within UK - £2.95. Happy to do combined postage wherever practical.

Dispatch will usually be "next day".

Collection in person is welcome.

I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.

They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.

This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.

E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges, then do not bid.

International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.

If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.

I WILL DEFINITELY NOT post to countries that are not included in the above lists, and I don't send to China.
