Dire Straits Brothers In Arms LP UK 1st Press GREAT AUDIO [Ex/Vg+] {NO STING*}

Description

An original 1st press on custom UK Vertigo label. Matrix A3/B4. The heavy-set [for the period] vinyl comes housed in an original cover with bespoke inner. Early copies should actually not have the hype stickers - the hype stickers come into play after a huge run of successive singles. And the absolute earliest copies can be found WITHOUT Sting's credit on MFN. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition having seen only light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few very lightest marks per side - nothing remotely  troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Playing clean even into those quieter passages. At worst a few brief crackles in one isolated spot per side [e.g. River]. I did pick out a couple of slight ticks and crackles early in the MFN intro where Sting is crooning [no biggy]. But overall - a very solid player. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) In really nice condition with just some thumbnail creasing over toward the opening. Spine is 90% intact with lightest wear.... The cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Slight bottom edge split - tape repaired internally. Otherwise fine.
