DIRE STRAITS – COMMUNIQUÉ – 1979 VINYL LP – RCA MUSIC SERVICE EDITION
Excellent copy of Dire Straits’ second studio album, Communiqué, originally released in 1979. This copy is a U.S. RCA Music Service record club pressing, an important variation from the standard retail issue and a nice addition for Dire Straits and pressing-variant collectors.
The album features Mark Knopfler on vocals, lead and rhythm guitars, David Knopfler on rhythm guitar and vocals, John Illsley on bass and vocals, and Pick Withers on drums.
Produced by legendary producers Jerry Wexler and Barry Beckett, the album was recorded in December 1978 at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, with additional recording at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Alabama.

VINYL CONDITION: EXCELLENT TO NEAR MINT (EX–NM)
The vinyl is exceptionally clean and retains a strong, glossy surface. Based on visual inspection, there are very few signs of handling or previous play. Any visible superficial marks are minimal and do not detract significantly from the overall appearance.
The Warner Bros. labels remain clean and attractive with strong printing and no obvious writing or major label damage.
Overall, this is a very strong EX to NM example.
JACKET / PACKAGING
Original blue Communiqué jacket with the distinctive envelope artwork.
The jacket still presents extremely well and, importantly, retains much of its original shrink wrap, which is clearly visible around the edges and corners in the photographs. There is some expected age/storage wear at exposed portions of the jacket, particularly around the opening and corners.
The original illustrated/photo inner sleeve is also present, featuring the band photograph.

The combination of EX–NM vinyl, original shrink, original inner sleeve, and identifiable RCA Music Service pressing makes this a particularly attractive copy for a Dire Straits collector.
