Dire Straits "So Far Away/So Far Away" promo only 12" single
This is a promo only 12" single from 1985 on Warner Bros. PRO-A-2464. It plays at 33 1/3 RPM. This 12" single provides the best pressing of this song, because the grooves in the vinyl are farther apart. This was given free to DJ's to get more airplay. This song was a hit and reached # 19 on Billboard. This song was from their 'Brothers In Arms" album. It comes in a plain white cover with a hole in the center so you can see the labels.
Side 1 has an Extended version at 5:06. Side 2 has the 7" single version at 3:59.

The plain white cover is near mint. There is a tiny round sticker at top right. The vinyl looks mint and it plays mint. The labels are clean.

I started collecting records in 1966. I started selling in Goldmine in 1985. I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby. And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon. On Discogs I am 'Fragilerecords'. My records are from a no smoking and no pets home. I am a record collector, not a DJ, so I almost never play my records.
Packaging :
I take great care during packaging and do each one personally. I use hand cut cardboard, which is 1/2 inch thick. I always remove the record form the cover and seal them in a clear plastic record sleeve. The package will be marked in red 'Fragile Records" on both sides.
Postage :
You must pay for the postage. This package will weigh 20 ounces ( 1 pound, 4 ounces ) when ready to ship. You can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail. Overseas winners must use First Class International. I will post your package through Paypal and you will get an automatic email with tracking information. There are no handling charges. I will send it as soon as you pay ( same day if before 3 PM and next day in after 3 PM, Monday through Saturday ). I will combine postage if you win more than one record. If you do win more than one record, please wait for me to send you an invoice.
