Dirty Blues Band, Stone Dirt. This is the original UK mono issue of their second & final album recorded in Hollywood in 1968 and released in February 1969. The Garrod & Lofthouse flipback laminated sleeve is in EX Condition, the plain company inner is in VG+ condition & the Record is in EX Condition. Description
This is the original 1969 UK mono issue with the black & green EMI/Stateside labels, the 'Sold in U.K.....' label text and the A-1 B-1 matrices & 1-G/1-G stampers of the earliest first pressings.
The second & final Dirty Blues Band album was released in the UK in February 1969 after the band had already split up in the USA and was recorded in Hollywood in April 1968. The band had been formed by Rod Piazza with friends in LA and had signed with ABC in 1967 recording their debut album that year. After recording their second album 'Stone Dirt' in April the band continued to tour the US, but by the end of the year they had split up. Rod Piazza then went on to form Bacon Fat in 1969, signing to Blue Horizon and recording two albums, before splitting up in 1971.
The Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd flipback laminated sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light laminate rubbing and a couple of small creases on the outer cover. The unlaminated rear has some light storage rubbing and foxing. The pinched spine is intact and fully readable, the plain company inner is intact, with some discolouration and in VG+ condition.
Overall, just a really great, loud and lively listen.
The matrix nos. are; SRX-3561-1 stamper 1-G, SRX-3562-1 stamper 1-G. This is one of the very earliest copies of the 1st press of the original 1969 UK mono issue of this album!

All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
