Credible cover versions in a psych/folk style are performed by The Mission Singers, followed by a short spoken section to lead the listener into further discussion on the themes covered in the song's lyrics. Tommy's "I'm Free" gets a surprisingly interesting arrangement, folky psychedelia with weirdly military overtones, with an short drum solo in the middle.
Overall, a fun, interesting, and fascinating time capsule of the Jesus Movement's attempt to find commonality with the then-current rock scene!

"I'm Free is a joyous song of liberation, sung by Tommy during his successes as a preacher. It lends iteslef readily to the proverbial 'Dance', that happy movement of free spirits. But the music contains its own subtle traps; it quickly changes rhythm, cadence, chord patters. It ends with the 'disciples' asking the fleeting, perhaps futile question: 'How can we follow?'
