Description

Divine Comedy's 2nd LP proper, original very collectable '93 vinyl, Rather

I am not a dealer, items for sale are from my personal collection. I am selling all my vinyl, most of which is early 90s cult/alternative indie, original pressings (other similar items to be auctioned - so keep an eye out!)

The Divine Comedy – Liberation
Label: Setanta Records – SET LP11
Format: Vinyl, LP, Album
Country: UK
Released: 16 Aug 1993
Genre: Indie/Britpop (Paddypop?)
Style: Art Rock, Intellectopop

Sounds like: "Take Ray Davies' whimsy, fab Macca's arrangemental nous, the Pet Shop Boys' bone-dry wit, Marc Almonds luminous theatricality. Collect everything simultaneously arch, pretty, smart, camp, infuriating and, sod it, just plain lush about pop music, stick it all in the back of a Bently and drive it into the sea." NME, Aug 1993

Sleeve: Ex(+)
Actually I reckon this one could be pretty much Near Mint. There's not really anything to fault with the sleeve or disc labels (see pics)

Vinyl: VG
Some marks/lines but don’t affect overall listening experience. Some crackles in opener Festive Road and quieter parts, like the cello number at end of Side A

Note on grading:
As I’m not a commercial dealer or professional record grader, I have tried to grade to the best of my ability, going by the Record Collector grading guidance, being honest and conservative. I wouldn’t grade anything as Mint/Near Mint (although the sleeve on this one is v. close) - max I’ve used for a few items is Ex/Ex.
If winners are dissatisfied with quality or have any geniune issues, please get in touch and we can discuss.

Postage & Packing:
Records will be packed in cardboard mailers with stiffeners and extra packing if needed (vinyl and inner sleeve taken out of main cover sleeve)
Will post to UK as First class Recorded Signed For @ £3.65
Europe and USA as International Signed For (currently approx £9.97 EUR, £13.13 World)
If you would like me to mail any other method, please get in touch
