Description

Yellow label with black text, deep groove. Original 10" Contemporary issue, previously issued in France. Tunes are titled in French. 8 tracks with leader, Dizzy Gillespie, trumpet; Nat Peck, trombone; Wade Legge, piano; Lou Hackney, bass; Al Jones drums. Joe Carroll vocal on 2 tracks ("J'ai du Rythme" and "Au Pays d d'Oobladee"). Gillespie and Peck vocal on "Toujour" ( "Always").  Recorded in Paris in 1953. Prime Gillespie. 3 seldom heard tunes.

Cover: VG to VG+  Intact with name of previous owner written on the back cover with date. Faint overall aging, barely visible. A few small discoloration spots on the yellow coat of the trumpeter pictured on the front cover. The number 3 is written in small print on the upper insert edge corner of the front cover.These are minor conditions.

Record:  Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. 1 or 2 faint surface rub marks. These do not affect the sound. Side 2, Track 4, 2 faint clicks, barely audible. Fine sound quality. Fine, collectable condition. Audibly checked
