Description
Both sides of the record have 47 West 63rd St. address; 43 West 61st St. address at the bottom of the back cover. The record has "RVG" and the "ear" inscribed in the dead wax. Deep groove. Initials of the former owner is stamped on both labels. 6 tracks with leader, Dizzy Reece, trumpet; Walter Bishop, piano; Doug Watkins, bass; Art Taylor, drums. Thls is a showcase for Reece's skill.
Cover: Poor The jacket is intact with some "ripples" on the gloss finished front cover. The back cover has some paper loss along the spine edge exposing the base, unfinished cardboard. There is, also, some discoloration on the notes as well as some flaking on the back of the jacket. There are some scuffs on the notes, but in general, the notes are readable (see scan).
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are 2 or 3 light surface rub marks. There are a few, barely audible, short intervals of groove noise on Track 1, Side 1. Similar minor noise the first 2 or 3 revolutions of Track 1, Side 2. The overall sound is fine with the slight, light noise described. I have included the (-) to adjust for the slight noise described. Moderately heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
