Description
Original pressing from 1961 on the RCA Victor record label, LPM-2319, mono recording, Django Reinhardt and the Quintet of the
Hot Club of France with Stephane Grappelly, titled Djangology, which was also his first work, composed in 1935. Recorded in a studio
in Rome in late 1949 and early 1950, the sessions were privately recorded and rediscovered by a RCA Victor exec in the late 1950's.
The rhythm section (piano, bass, and drums) was made up of 3 Italians. 12 selections. Vinyl LP record play grades a solid to strong VG,
no scratches, but with surface noise, which is noted in the grading process. Surface looks really nice, aside from a few what I call specks
and the labels are very clean. The album cover is fully taped on both seams and most of spine, front and back decent with some wear noted,
see pics. Rate in good condition. Company inner sleeve in VG+ condition. Will ship record in an RCA poly-lined sleeve, and company
sleeve will be in album cover.
