Don Cherry   Brown rice    EMI 3C 064-18107 (Italy)  -  rec. in 1975 at Basement Recording Studios in New York (A1, A2, B2) and at Grog Kill Studio in Woodstock (B1) - rare original 1975 first Italian edition with folder cover - on dead wax has stamped the date '25-9-75'  -  this record has been reissue in various labels from 1977 on   Don Cherry : trumpet, Yamaha piano, voice - Frank Lowe : tenor sax - Charlie Haden : bass - Billy Higgins : drums -Ricky Cherry : piano (A1, B1, B2) - Hakim Jamil : bass (B1) - Moki : tamboura (A2) - Bunchie Fox : electric bongos (A1) - Verna Gillis : voice (A1) Side A :  Brown rice  -  Malkauns (Berger-Cherry) Side B :  Cheregzig  -  Degi-Degi All compositions by Don Cherry except as indicated   Visual grading : record is Good+ has wear with several unfeelable surface scuffs and lines on both sides but no scratches. Clean labels with light spindle wear  Playing grading : record is VG- to VG plays with light background noise in some quieter parts always well below music's level. Also it has occasional light short rustling in few passages. Few light occasional tics Cover grading : folder cover is VG+ has light wear to corners, edges and a bit more evident to spine
